Kofi Job Construction Limited has successfully completed the first phase of the Tepa-Maban-Goaso road project, delivering the 22-kilometre stretch significantly ahead of its original 24-month timeline. Achieving a state of near-total completion in just nine months, the contractor finished the primary work 15 months earlier than scheduled. This initial phase, which begins at Maban, represents a critical portion of a larger 39-kilometre infrastructure project designed to enhance the transport network connecting the Ashanti and Ahafo regions.
Under the leadership of Project Director Kwabena Owusu Aduomi, the construction team navigated significant geographical challenges, particularly the management of extensive swampy sections along the route. To guarantee the road’s durability and resistance to heavy traffic, the project featured properly engineered drainage systems and multiple layers of high-grade asphalt. Mr. Aduomi assured stakeholders that these technical measures were prioritized to prevent premature deterioration and ensure the road can withstand the difficult environmental conditions found in the area.
While the main structural paving is finished, the remaining minor tasks include the installation of permanent road signs, crash barriers, and final safety markings. The successful delivery of this first phase has paved the way for the remainder of the 39-kilometre stretch, which is set to conclude at the River Goa bridge. In light of the rapid progress, the Ministry of Roads and Highways has moved to secure financial certification for the second phase of the project, ensuring that the momentum generated by the contractor continues toward the road’s full completion.
