Galaxy International School has officially commissioned the "Galaxy Techno Hub," a state-of-the-art technology and innovation centre designed to equip students with practical skills for the modern world. The facility focuses on providing hands-on training in robotics, artificial intelligence (AI), coding, electronics, and engineering for students from the primary to secondary levels. By establishing this hub, the school aims to create an environment where theoretical concepts are transformed into tangible engineering solutions and real-world applications.
During the launch event, which featured exhibitions of various student-designed projects, Managing Director Mehmet Akmermer emphasized the importance of preparing the younger generation for a technology-driven future. He stated that the hub was established to foster a culture of creativity and critical thinking, ensuring that students do not just learn about technology but actively participate in its development. The facility is equipped with modern tools that allow pupils to experiment and innovate, bridging the traditional divide between classroom learning and industrial requirements.
The initiative received high praise from the Ghana Education Service (GES), represented at the event by Deputy Director John Kumavor. He noted that the Galaxy Techno Hub represents a significant contribution to the national agenda of promoting Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education. By providing early exposure to these specialized fields, the school is helping to build a pipeline of future innovators who can drive Ghana’s economic and technological development in the years to come.
