Ghanaian dancehall icons Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale are set to headline the entertainment lineup for the 2026 Anlo Hogbetsotso Za festival in the Volta Region. The celebration, which blends deep-rooted tradition with contemporary music, will see the two superstars performing at separate beach concerts as part of a packed itinerary scheduled from November 5 to November 8. This year’s festival is being held under the theme, ‘Anlo, Our Heritage and Our Values: Striving to Build One Ghana for a Better Tomorrow.’
Stonebwoy is scheduled to take the stage at Lalana Beach in Anloga on November 7. Following this, Shatta Wale will headline the Hogbetsotso Sunday Beach Concert at the Eli Beach Resort & Hotel in Tegbi on November 8. While these high-profile performances are expected to draw massive crowds, organizers announced that EdemFest, another anticipated event previously scheduled for the period, has been postponed for strategic reasons with a new date to be announced later.
Beyond the musical concerts, the 2026 celebrations will feature the fifth edition of the Tsadidi Street Art Festival. Founded by GlennSamm, this event will run from November 6 to 8 at the historic Fort Prinzenstein in Keta. The art festival serves as a platform for artistic expression, showcasing a vibrant mix of street art and indigenous culture to promote tourism and celebrate the creative identity of the Anlo people alongside the traditional festivities.
The comprehensive entertainment schedule also includes the Keta To The World Concert and the Xetoto Arts Festival, ensuring a diverse range of activities for both locals and visitors. By integrating these modern artistic expressions with the historic Hogbetsotso Za—which commemorates the legendary exodus of the Ewe-Dogbo people from Notsie—the festival continues to serve as a major cultural and tourism hub for the Volta Region.
