The outgoing President of the Tertiary Education Institutions Network (TEIN) at the University of Media, Arts and Communication - Institute of Journalism (UniMAC-IJ), Sherritta Adu Agyei, has called for unity and collective responsibility within the student wing. Speaking during a handover ceremony on October 1, 2026, Madam Adu Agyei emphasized the necessity of a cohesive front as she officially transferred leadership to her successors.
During the event, Madam Adu Agyei reflected on her administration’s achievements, specifically the implementation of the "TEIN 2.0" policy agenda. She highlighted the "Back to the Roots Conference" as a significant milestone that strengthened the group’s foundations. She attributed these successes to a shared vision and the dedication of her fellow executives and the wider membership throughout her tenure.
Providing counsel to the incoming executives, the outgoing president stressed that leadership should be driven by service rather than personal ambition. She remarked that true leadership is measured by the tangible and lasting impact left behind for the benefit of the movement. She further appealed to the student body to provide the new leadership with the necessary support and cooperation to ensure organizational continuity and progress.
Madam Adu Agyei concluded her address by expressing profound gratitude to the patrons and students who supported her administration. The handover ceremony serves as a transition point for the UniMAC-IJ TEIN chapter, signaling a renewed focus on organizational growth and political engagement within the university community as the new leadership takes charge.
