Ghanaian rap icon Sarkodie has embarked on a strategic promotional tour across selected African nations as preparations intensify for his Rapperholic Concert at London’s O2 Arena in March 2025. With more than 75% of the tickets for the 20,000-capacity venue already sold, the artist is leveraging his continental influence to ensure a historic turnout for what is billed as a milestone for Ghanaian music on the international stage. If successful, the show will see Sarkodie become the first Ghanaian solo artist to headline a concert at the prestigious venue, highlighting the rising global profile of the country's creative arts sector. The tour is currently focused on Kenya, where Sarkodie is engaging with local fans and collaborating with prominent Kenyan musicians to build momentum. These efforts are designed not only to drive ticket sales but to foster a sense of African unity and excellence. Berny Sarfo, the Chief Executive Officer of Bizzle Entertainment, noted that the tour serves a dual purpose: it strengthens connections within the African music scene while simultaneously showcasing the continent’s cultural power to a global audience. The collaborations in Nairobi are expected to create a cross-border appeal that will reflect in the diversity of the audience at the London event. This international push follows a series of successful local engagements aimed at consolidating Sarkodie’s domestic support base. The artist recently performed at a well-attended homecoming concert in the Ashanti regional capital, Kumasi, and is scheduled to host another major event in Accra on December 25 as a final build-up to the overseas show. By combining these regional activities with his current African tour, Sarkodie aims to bridge the gap between his home fans and the international diaspora, setting the stage for a record-breaking performance at the O2 Arena.
