Drive to Inspire-Africa (DTI-A), in partnership with the Sanjeev Mansotra Foundation, has presented scholarships to 20 additional tertiary students across Ghana and Uganda. This latest cohort brings the total number of beneficiaries supported by the initiative to 70 since its launch in 2024. The program is designed to alleviate the financial burdens faced by high-achieving students while simultaneously equipping them with the necessary tools for professional success through structured mentorship and networking.
Founder Nana Adjoa Hackman noted that the program has undergone significant evolution since its inception. Originally designed specifically to support young women, the scholarship scheme has now been expanded to include young men, reflecting a broader commitment to educational equity and inclusive development. Hackman emphasized the initiative's focus on sustainability and its growing network, which now connects students with professional mentors across 27 African countries. This cross-border mentorship is intended to provide students with a panoramic view of the African professional landscape and foster regional collaboration.
Sanjeev Mansotra, representing the Sanjeev Mansotra Foundation, expressed his continued commitment to the partnership and his hope that the recipients would use this opportunity to excel academically and contribute positively to their respective communities. In addition to local tertiary support, the program is exploring international scholarship opportunities to further broaden the horizons of its beneficiaries. This dual approach of providing financial aid alongside professional guidance is intended to create a pipeline of future leaders capable of driving social and economic progress across the continent.
