The 2015 year group of Accra Academy, popularly known as Bleoo ’15, has officially launched the ‘Adopt a Classroom’ project to upgrade learning facilities at their alma mater. The initiative was unveiled during a ceremony that also marked the formal inauguration of the year group. This project is designed to renovate and modernise classroom environments, ensuring that current and future students have access to high-quality educational spaces.
During the launch, the President of Bleoo ’15, Manuel Koranteng, highlighted the importance of unity and collective action among alumni. He noted that the initiative aims to bridge infrastructure gaps by mobilising resources from both the former students and corporate partners. In addition to the classroom project, the group introduced the "Bleoo ’15 Cares Fund," a welfare scheme established to provide financial and social support to members of the year group who may be in need.
The ‘Adopt a Classroom’ project represents a strategic effort to foster educational development through community-led support. By encouraging alumni and corporate entities to "adopt" specific learning spaces, the group hopes to create a sustainable model for school maintenance and improvement. This commitment underscores the significant role alumni play in supporting the national education system by ensuring their schools remain well-equipped for academic excellence and future growth.
