Global stablecoin infrastructure provider Yellow Card has finalized the acquisition of GoMoney, a Brazilian virtual asset service provider. This strategic move, completed in October 2026, marks the company's official entry into the Latin American market with direct local operations. By absorbing GoMoney, Yellow Card aims to provide enhanced services to businesses and individuals in Brazil, leveraging the country’s status as a major hub for digital asset activity.
Through this acquisition, Yellow Card will introduce local collection and disbursement capabilities in Brazilian reais. A key feature of the integration is the connection to Pix, Brazil’s instant payment system, which is widely used across the nation. GoMoney is set to operate as a subsidiary of Yellow Card, maintaining its existing identity and leadership team while benefiting from the parent company's global infrastructure. Currently, GoMoney’s application for full authorization from the Banco Central do Brasil is under review, and it continues to operate under the country’s transitional regulatory regime.
The expansion comes at a time of significant growth for the Brazilian cryptocurrency sector. Between July 2025 and June 2026, the country recorded approximately $252.5 billion in crypto-related activity. Notably, the use of stablecoins for business applications has surged by 495% during a recent comparative period. Yellow Card’s entry into the market is specifically designed to capitalize on this demand for stablecoin-based financial solutions.
This latest acquisition follows a period of rapid growth for Yellow Card, which recently concluded a successful financing round and secured regulatory approvals in several other jurisdictions. By establishing a firm foothold in Brazil, the company positions itself to lead stablecoin infrastructure developments across Latin America, bridging the gap between traditional finance and the digital economy.
