World Vision Ghana has been crowned the Non-Profit Organisation of the Year 2025 at the 37th Annual National Marketing Performance Awards. Organised by the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana (CIMG), the prestigious ceremony celebrated the organisation’s exceptional contributions to national development through innovative community-focused storytelling and evidence-based reporting. The recognition underscores World Vision’s success in building social trust while delivering impactful humanitarian interventions across the country.
During the awards ceremony, Board Chair Dr. Mary Amoakoh-Coleman expressed gratitude for the recognition and highlighted the core values driving the organisation’s success. She emphasised that trust and transparency are central to World Vision's mission, enabling them to effectively communicate the impact of their work to stakeholders and the public. The award specifically cited the organisation's ability to use marketing and communication tools not just for visibility, but as a means to drive meaningful social change and accountability in the non-profit sector.
The organisation’s achievements are rooted in large-scale initiatives spanning agriculture, education, and health. A notable highlight is the Regreening Africa initiative, which has directly benefited over 800,000 people by promoting sustainable environmental practices. In addition to its environmental work, World Vision has partnered with the Ghana Health Service to implement community-based approaches to child nutrition. These efforts are complemented by extensive investments in Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) services and the introduction of new educational programmes designed to improve learning outcomes for vulnerable children.
Looking ahead, World Vision Ghana has reaffirmed its ambitious commitment to improving the lives of 2.8 million children across the country by 2030. This long-term strategy focuses on scaling up existing programmes in education and water services to ensure that the most vulnerable communities are not left behind. By integrating robust reporting with direct community engagement, the organisation aims to set a benchmark for non-governmental operations in Ghana, ensuring that every intervention translates into measurable progress for the nation’s youth.
