Vice-Chancellor Professor John Kwaku Mensah Mawutor challenged the new graduates to move beyond the traditional role of job seekers and instead focus on becoming job creators. He emphasized that the knowledge acquired at UPSA should be applied to solving real-world problems. Prof. Mawutor also addressed the growing influence of artificial intelligence in the business sector, highlighting its potential to transform industry practices while cautioning the graduates to remain vigilant regarding the risks and ethical implications associated with the technology.
In her valedictory address, Ekezie Oluchi Ada urged her peers to remain resilient and committed to continuous learning in their future endeavors. She spoke about the importance of discipline as a foundation for professional success. Supporting this message, the guest speaker, Jacqueline Afful, encouraged the graduates to combine their ambitions with persistent hard work, reminding them that setbacks are part of the journey toward achieving their career goals.
The 18th Congregation concludes a period of rigorous academic training for the 1,314 graduates, who are now expected to contribute to Ghana's economic and professional landscape. As they exit the university, the leadership of UPSA expressed confidence that this cohort is well-equipped to uphold the institution's values and navigate the complexities of the modern global economy.
