Telecel Ghana has been recognized for its leadership in digital transformation and sustainability at the 2026 Chamber of Commerce and Industry France-Ghana (CCIFG) Awards. The telecommunications giant secured two major honors: the Digital Transformation and Innovation Excellence award and the Sustainability and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Impact award. These accolades, presented during the CCIFG Gala, reflect the company's dual focus on technological advancement and responsible corporate citizenship within the Ghanaian market.
The CCIFG Awards evaluate companies across various sectors through a multi-sectoral jury, which this year highlighted Telecel’s strategic investments in technology and its commitment to environmental stewardship. The company’s ESG efforts were particularly noted for their tangible environmental impact, including the successful planting of 43,000 trees over the past five years and the integration of renewable energy solutions into its operations. Beyond environmental conservation, the jury recognized Telecel's social initiatives, which have reached more than 6,000 beneficiaries through programs focused on education and digital inclusion.
Telecel Ghana's External Affairs Director stated that these awards validate the company’s mission to provide long-term value through meaningful digital transformation alongside significant societal contributions. The recognition underscores a broader industry trend where corporate success is increasingly measured by both technological output and ethical business practices. Moving forward, Telecel indicated it will continue its trajectory of innovation while maintaining its commitment to environmental sustainability and community development initiatives.
