TikToker Sweet Pola Accuses Dope Nation of Song Theft as Phyna Triumphs in Celebrity Boxing Match

Ghanaian TikTok sensation Sweet Pola has publicly accused the award-winning music duo Dope Nation of copyright infringement, alleging the group used two of his original tracks without authorization. This marks the second time the content creator has levelled such claims against the duo, with whom he reportedly shared a close working relationship in the past. The controversy highlights ongoing tensions within the Ghanaian music industry regarding creative ownership and the protection of intellectual property between established acts and independent creators.

In a viral video addressing the situation, Sweet Pola expressed profound frustration, claiming that Dope Nation’s alleged actions are part of a repeated pattern of exploitation. The TikToker emphasized his history as a former associate of the group, suggesting that his proximity to the duo may have facilitated the unauthorized access to his work. While Dope Nation has yet to provide a formal response to these specific allegations, the incident has sparked a wider conversation on social media about the legalities of song sharing and the necessity for formal contracts even among friends and professional associates.

Meanwhile, in the Nigerian entertainment scene, the world of celebrity rivalry took a physical turn as reality TV star Phyna secured a decisive victory over Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing. The highly anticipated celebrity boxing match concluded in the fourth round when Phyna delivered a knockout blow, ending a contest that had garnered significant buzz across West African social media platforms. The match was designed to settle grievances in the ring, drawing massive viewership from fans of both the former Big Brother Naija winner and the veteran screen star.

These recent developments across the Ghanaian and Nigerian entertainment landscapes underscore a growing trend of high-profile disputes played out in the public eye. Whether through legal accusations of intellectual property theft or choreographed physical bouts, celebrities are increasingly using public platforms to resolve—or escalate—personal and professional conflicts. As Sweet Pola seeks recognition for his creative output and Phyna celebrates her athletic triumph, the industry continues to grapple with the fine line between publicity-driven drama and genuine grievances.
