Rayan Mount, a close associate of Ghanaian rapper Strongman, has cleared the air regarding the artist's absence from Sarkodie’s Rapperholic 2026 concert. According to Mount, the rapper was unable to perform or attend the highly anticipated event due to a legitimate medical emergency. The clarification comes in response to growing social media speculation and rumors suggesting that the artist's absence was a snub toward his former mentor, Sarkodie.
Providing details on the severity of the situation, Mount revealed that Strongman's health condition required him to be placed on a cannula for medical treatment. Despite his physical state, the rapper reportedly attempted to make his way to the concert venue shortly after the medical device was removed. However, Mount intervened and advised the artist against attending, insisting that he prioritize his recovery over the performance. This health crisis also necessitated the postponement of a planned music video shoot in Accra that had been scheduled to take place around the same time.
Mount expressed significant frustration with bloggers and online commentators who he claims have been spreading false narratives about a supposed rift between the two musicians. He emphasized that Strongman’s absence was strictly a health-related matter and should not be interpreted as a sign of disrespect. Reaffirming their professional and personal bond, Mount described Sarkodie as a major influence in the music industry and a figure for whom Strongman continues to maintain the highest regard.
