Shatta Wale advises Stonebwoy to improve temperament and reactions

Ghanaian dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has called on his colleague Stonebwoy to improve his temperament and better manage his reactions to public criticism. During a TikTok Live session held on October 21, 2026, Shatta Wale addressed the public conduct of the BHIM Nation leader, suggesting that emotional maturity is a critical component for long-term success in the competitive music industry. He expressed his belief in Stonebwoy’s talent but noted that the artist needs to learn to calm himself down when faced with external pressure. The advice centered on the importance of maintaining composure during public disputes or when receiving negative feedback. Shatta Wale emphasized that Stonebwoy’s reactions are often too intense and could benefit from a more measured approach. He argued that while every artist faces criticism, the ability to process it without public outbursts is what separates enduring stars from those who struggle with unnecessary controversy. Shatta Wale also highlighted the necessity of a strong professional support system to help guide Stonebwoy's behavior. He suggested that the people surrounding an artist play a vital role in their public image and temperament. According to Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy needs a circle of advisors who can provide honest feedback and help him navigate the complexities of fame without losing his cool. In a rare show of industry solidarity, Shatta Wale urged Ghanaians to continue supporting Stonebwoy despite any perceived character flaws. He maintained that the dancehall genre thrives when its biggest stars are focused and well-managed. This public intervention has sparked a conversation among fans about the responsibilities of mentorship within the Ghanaian music scene and whether Stonebwoy will take the advice of his contemporary to heart.
