It comprises 11 chapters authored by 22 scholars who explored themes central to the honoree's career, including sustainable development and institutional leadership. The contributors highlighted how Prof. Afrane’s academic work has bridged the gap between theoretical planning and practical community development throughout his distinguished career in academia.
During the ceremony, the Chancellor of CSU, Most Rev. Prof. Emmanuel K. Asante, lauded the outgoing Vice-Chancellor for his visionary leadership. He credited Prof. Afrane with significantly enhancing the university's academic standing and overseeing substantial institutional growth over the past ten years. The Chancellor noted that Prof. Afrane's dedication to the university's mission had fostered an environment of excellence and service, leaving a lasting legacy for the institution.
Prof. Afrane’s retirement from the role of Vice-Chancellor marks the end of a significant chapter for Christian Service University. As a noted expert in the field of planning, the festschrift dedicated to him not only documents his professional journey but also provides a resource for future scholars and administrators. The event underscored the importance of honoring academic leadership in Ghana’s tertiary education sector, ensuring that the contributions of long-serving administrators are preserved for future generations.
