Dr. Sa-ad Iddrisu has donated a significant collection of educational materials to the NWOGU D/A Junior High School in the Kumbungu District. The donation, which comprises more than 100 pairs of sandals, 400 exercise books, pens, and school uniforms, was officially handed over to the school authorities to support the pupils' learning needs. This philanthropic gesture is part of a broader effort to improve educational access for children in the region by providing them with necessary tools for their studies. The presentation of these items was made on behalf of Dr. Iddrisu by his assistant, Mr. Nurudeen Haruna, who emphasized the donor's commitment to youth empowerment through education. By supplying these essential items, the initiative aims to directly alleviate the financial burden on parents and guardians in the Kumbungu District. Many families face challenges in meeting the costs of school supplies, which can lead to irregular attendance or school dropouts. The provision of uniforms and footwear, in particular, is intended to boost the confidence of the students and ensure they feel properly equipped to attend classes daily. In response, the school management and local community leaders expressed their gratitude for the donation, highlighting the importance of private contributions to the public education system. They noted that such interventions are critical in fostering a conducive learning environment and encouraging students to take their academic work seriously. The gesture serves as a call to action for other well-meaning individuals and organizations to support rural schools, thereby helping to bridge the educational gap between urban and less-privileged communities in Ghana.
