Richard Owusu of Debibi United has been crowned the NASCO Player of the Month for September. This prestigious recognition comes after a standout performance during the opening month of the Ghana Premier League season, where the attacker's contributions were instrumental for his club. Owusu's consistency across the four matches played during the month established him as a premier talent in the current league campaign.
Throughout September, Owusu demonstrated remarkable efficiency and creativity on the pitch. He directly accounted for four goals in four appearances, finding the back of the net twice himself and providing two assists for his teammates. These contributions highlighted his central role in Debibi United's offensive strategy and made him a clear standout among his peers in the top flight, eventually securing him the majority support for the individual monthly honour.
As part of the reward for his individual brilliance, Owusu was presented with high-value electronics from Electroland Ghana Limited, the official sponsors of the award. His prizes include a 43-inch NASCO television and a NASCO double-door bottom-freezer refrigerator. This award serves as a significant motivation for the player as he looks to maintain his goal-scoring form and help Debibi United navigate the remainder of the domestic season. The recognition of such individual efforts continues to be a hallmark of the Ghana Premier League's partnership with corporate sponsors to boost player performance.
