The Young Adults’ Fellowship (YAF) of the Ramseyer Congregation of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana has officially launched its 20th-anniversary celebrations. The milestone event, held under the theme "Celebrating 20 years of friendship, fellowship and Impact," marks two decades of growth and service within the church community. The launch serves as a precursor to a series of activities planned to commemorate the fellowship's journey since its establishment.
Since its inception in 2007, the Ramseyer YAF has seen significant development in its membership and influence. Starting with a small group of just 28 members, the fellowship has expanded more than fourfold to its current strength of 126 members. This growth reflects the fellowship's success in mobilizing young adults within the congregation and providing a dedicated space for spiritual and social engagement.
Speaking at the launch, Rev. Dr. Joseph Apea Asamoah highlighted the importance of the theme, focusing on the essential roles of friendship and cooperation in building a vibrant church. He urged members to prioritize strengthening their internal bonds, noting that genuine fellowship is the foundation for making a meaningful difference in the wider community. The reverend emphasized that the fellowship's impact over the last 20 years is a testament to the power of collective action and faith-driven initiatives.
As the fellowship enters its third decade, the leadership aims to intensify its outreach programs and deepen the spiritual development of its members. The anniversary year will be used as a platform to launch new community service projects and enhance existing initiatives designed to address local needs. By focusing on both spiritual maturity and societal impact, the Ramseyer YAF intends to solidify its position as a pillar of support within the Presbyterian Church of Ghana for years to come.
