Petra Master Trust has announced that its flagship pension schemes achieved investment returns of up to 15.63% during the latest reporting period. Speaking at the company’s Annual General Meeting, officials revealed that these returns outperformed national inflation rates, providing real value to contributors. This growth is reflected in the significant increase of the schemes' net asset values, with the Petra Advantage Pension Scheme nearing GH₵4 billion and the Petra Opportunity Pension Scheme reaching GH₵2.64 billion.
Yvonne Buliga, the Head of Portfolio Management and Operations at Petra, emphasized that the positive performance extended across multiple products, including the Savings Booster Scheme. She underscored the company's commitment to transparency in fund management, noting that ensuring financial security for contributors remains the top priority. "Transparency is very key for all of us here at Petra," Ms. Buliga stated, highlighting the importance of managing funds effectively to deliver sustainable long-term growth for members.
Beyond mandatory contributions, the organization is encouraging members to take proactive steps toward comprehensive retirement planning. To support this, Petra is expanding its offerings to include additional investment opportunities, such as homeownership options. By diversifying the available financial tools, the trust aims to help contributors build a more robust financial foundation for their post-work years, moving beyond basic pension savings to more holistic wealth management strategies.
