Popular TikTok personality Habeeb Hamzat, widely known as Peller, has sparked significant discussion within the digital creator community after revealing that a fellow entertainer suggested he take up smoking to enhance his performance. During a recent livestream, Peller shared that his colleague, Carterefe, advised him to start smoking as a means to boost his energy levels during his demanding online broadcasts. The revelation has shed light on the behind-the-scenes pressures faced by content creators who strive to maintain high engagement and stamina for their audiences. According to Peller, the suggestion came during a private interaction where Carterefe reportedly admitted to using smoking as a pre-stream ritual to stay active and 'hyped' for his viewers. Peller noted that his colleague encouraged him to adopt the same habit to ensure his energy does not flag during his popular and often lengthy TikTok sessions. This disclosure highlights the potentially influential and sometimes controversial advice shared between peers within the competitive social media landscape, where creators often look for ways to gain a competitive edge. Seeking perspective before making a decision, Peller turned to his audience during a live broadcast to ask for their opinions on whether he should follow the advice. The feedback from his fanbase was overwhelmingly negative, with many viewers warning him about the severe health risks associated with smoking and the high potential for addiction. Fans urged the young creator to prioritize his long-term well-being over short-term performance gains, emphasizing that his natural charisma is what drew them to his content in the first place. This incident underscores a broader conversation regarding the mental and physical tolls of the creator economy, where the demand for constant high-energy content can sometimes lead to unhealthy lifestyle suggestions. While Peller appears to have heeded his fans' warnings, the situation serves as a cautionary tale about the influence of peer pressure and the importance of maintaining healthy habits in an industry often characterized by high stress and burnout. The dialogue remains a vital reminder of the role audiences play in holding their favorite influencers accountable for their personal health and safety.
