Veteran Nollywood Actress Ngozi Nwosu Appeals for ₦30 Million for Urgent Life-Saving Surgeries

Greater Accra Regional Hospital seeks family of unidentified patient

The Greater Accra Regional Hospital, popularly known as Ridge Hospital, has launched an urgent public appeal to help identify a female patient who was admitted following a serious motor vehicle accident. The woman, whose identity remains unknown, is currently receiving intensive medical care for a range of severe injuries sustained during the incident. Despite the hospital’s efforts to stabilize her condition, no relatives or acquaintances have come forward to claim her or inquire about her welfare since her admission. Upon her arrival at the facility, medical teams identified multiple injuries, including significant bone fractures that required immediate surgical intervention. The hospital administration confirmed that they have already facilitated and covered the costs of the necessary surgeries to ensure her recovery is not delayed by financial or administrative hurdles. While the clinical team continues to provide professional medical care, the lack of familial presence has become a significant concern for the patient’s holistic recovery and long-term rehabilitation. Hospital officials are emphasizing that family support plays a vital role in the psychological and emotional healing of trauma victims. The isolation of the patient, coupled with her inability to provide personal details, has prompted the facility to reach out to the wider community. The administration has tasked its Client Relationship Unit with managing all inquiries related to the patient’s identity and is hopeful that publicizing the case will lead to a breakthrough in locating her next of kin. Members of the public who may have a missing female relative or who have information regarding an individual involved in a recent road accident are encouraged to contact the Greater Accra Regional Hospital. The facility has provided access to its Client Relationship Unit for any leads that could help reunite the woman with her family. This appeal underscores the broader challenges health facilities face when managing emergency admissions of unidentified individuals.
