The Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) is set to intensify surveillance at nightclubs, pubs, and entertainment venues across the country during the festive season. This initiative, announced by Acting Director Francis Opoku Amoah, aims to combat drug abuse and trafficking while ensuring public health and safety during social gatherings. NACOC will collaborate with law enforcement and regulatory agencies to enforce compliance with narcotics laws and educate the public about the dangers of substance abuse. Venue owners and event organizers are urged to cooperate with authorities, and the public is encouraged to report any suspicious activities. NACOC has assured that its operations will respect human rights while firmly addressing narcotics offences, emphasizing a balanced approach to enforcement during this busy period.
