MTN Ghana has successfully graduated 88 entrepreneurs from its 2026 Mini Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme, an initiative designed to strengthen the capacity of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) across the country. Conducted in collaboration with the Nova Business School, the 13-week intensive course is a key component of the MTN Business SME Accelerate initiative. The programme aims to equip business owners with the practical tools necessary to drive economic growth and foster job creation within the Ghanaian economy.
The curriculum for the Mini MBA was specifically tailored to address challenges identified during previous SME clinics. Participants underwent rigorous training in essential business areas, including strategic financing, sustainability, bookkeeping, and digitisation. By focusing on these core competencies, the programme seeks to enhance the competitiveness of local businesses and ensure they are better prepared to navigate the complexities of the modern marketplace.
During the graduation ceremony, Angela Mensah Poku, Chief Enterprise Officer of MTN Ghana, praised the participants for their dedication to professional growth. She highlighted the importance of adapting to digital disruption and changing customer expectations, encouraging the graduates to apply their new knowledge to build resilient, competitive enterprises. Mensah Poku also urged the entrepreneurs to serve as mentors to others, thereby multiplying the impact of their training within the wider business community.
Prof. Matthew Chameleon, CEO of the Nova Business School, expressed his appreciation for the partnership with MTN Ghana, noting the vital role the private sector plays in national development. He emphasized that the programme succeeds by aligning individual business projects with broader corporate strategies. This cohort of graduates represents a significant step forward in MTN Ghana’s ongoing commitment to supporting the entrepreneurial ecosystem through mentorship and practical business assistance.
