Ten young innovators from the Southern Zone of the 2026 MoMo Fintech Lab are scheduled to pitch their financial technology solutions at a competition in Accra on November 6, 2026. Hosted by MobileMoney Fintech LTD (MMFL) at the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons, the event showcases finalists who emerged from a pool of 19 ideas presented during a recent intensive bootcamp. This stage of the competition follows three days of training and mentorship aimed at preparing the participants for the national stage. The featured solutions address a wide range of financial challenges, with a significant emphasis on improving security and payment processes for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). In partnership with the Bank of Ghana, MMFL is focusing on bridging the gap between innovative conceptual ideas and commercially viable business models. The pitchers will be evaluated on the scalability and impact of their technologies, reflecting the program's goal of driving digital financial inclusion across the country. From the ten competing innovators, five teams will be selected to join a comprehensive National Mentorship Programme. This initiative is designed to provide the finalists with further technical and strategic support as they prepare for the ultimate National Demo Day on December 3, 2026. By fostering such talent, the organizers aim to strengthen Ghana’s fintech ecosystem and ensure that local innovators have the necessary resources to compete on a global scale.
