The Ministry of Health (MoH) is set to officially open its online recruitment portal on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at 10:00 am. The exercise is designed to absorb the 36th batch of Medical Officers and Dentists into the public health sector to address critical staffing shortages across various health facilities in Ghana. This recruitment drive targets professionals who have successfully completed their mandatory House Job and have been verified by the Medical and Dental Council.
Qualified applicants are directed to access the Ministry’s dedicated portal at https://mohrecruitment.com to submit their applications. According to a statement signed by the Ministry's Chief Director, the application window is relatively short, with the process concluding on Thursday, October 29, 2026. During the application process, candidates will be required to follow specific instructions to select their preferred agencies and districts for deployment.
In a bid to maintain the integrity of the process, the Ministry has issued a stern warning against recruitment scams. Applicants are advised that the recruitment is strictly transparent and does not require any form of payment to individuals or intermediaries. The Ministry emphasized that anyone claiming to offer assistance or fast-track placement for a fee is a fraudster, urging all candidates to be vigilant and report suspicious activities.
This intake of health professionals is part of a broader government effort to strengthen the country's healthcare delivery system. By onboarding this new cohort of doctors and dentists, the Ministry aims to ensure that public health facilities are adequately staffed to provide essential medical services to the population. The Ministry has called for full cooperation from the medical fraternity to ensure a smooth transition of the new officers into their respective roles.
