The Association of Methodist Men’s Fellowship (AMMF) of the Methodist Church Ghana has officially commenced its 14th Biennial Delegates Conference in Tema. The gathering serves as a critical platform for the fellowship to review its operational progress, evaluate its spiritual impact, and determine the strategic direction for its future initiatives. Connexional Chairman Mr. Ebenezer Anowih presided over the opening, emphasizing the fellowship's role in the broader mission of the church and the need for continued dedication among its members.
A major highlight of the conference was the report of substantial financial growth and successful infrastructure development. Mr. Anowih announced that revenue from the Men’s Day celebration reached GH¢964,670.77, representing a notable 28% increase compared to 2024 figures. This financial boost has been instrumental in supporting the fellowship’s various capital projects, most notably the 40th Anniversary Pavilion, which is now nearing completion. The chairman noted that such resources are vital for sustaining the association’s physical infrastructure and its capacity to host large-scale evangelical programs.
Beyond financial achievements, the conference focused on strengthening the fellowship’s governance and outreach effectiveness. Delegates approved essential revisions to the association's 2017 by-laws to ensure that its regulatory framework remains aligned with contemporary needs. Furthermore, Mr. Anowih called for a more rigorous approach to the fellowship’s core mission, stressing the importance of improving the statistical tracking of annual diocesan evangelism efforts. He argued that more precise measurement of their impact is necessary to refine outreach strategies and ensure effective spiritual growth within the community.
As Mr. Anowih nears the conclusion of his three-year tenure, he used the occasion to urge delegates to exercise high responsibility in the upcoming leadership elections. He emphasized that the sustained growth and spiritual health of the AMMF depend on electing committed, visionary leaders dedicated to the association's long-term expansion. The conference is expected to conclude with a renewed commitment to the fellowship's founding principles and a clear roadmap for the next biennial cycle.
