Ghanaian comedian and two-time Comedian of the Year, Lekzy Decomic, has announced a special edition of his signature show, "Lekzy Unleashed," scheduled for November 7 at the UPSA Auditorium in Accra. Titled "The Godfathers Edition," the upcoming event is dedicated to celebrating the pioneers who shaped the landscape of stand-up comedy in Ghana. The show serves as both a tribute to the past and a celebration of the industry's growth, bringing together multiple generations of performers on a single platform. The headline feature of the night will be the appearance of three legendary figures: Kwaku Sintim-Misa, popularly known as KSM, Fritz Baffour, and Tommy Annan-Forson. Lekzy Decomic emphasized that hosting these icons is a significant personal achievement, as they provided the blueprint for his own career and many others in the contemporary scene. He reflected on his childhood experiences watching their performances, noting that their contributions were essential in transforming comedy into a viable professional path for young Ghanaians today. Beyond the veteran acts, "The Godfathers Edition" will offer a diverse lineup including musical performances and appearances by emerging comedic talents. The event aims to create a unique space where older comedy enthusiasts and younger fans can connect through shared humor. By honoring the "godfathers" of the craft, Lekzy Decomic intends to foster a deeper appreciation for the history of Ghanaian entertainment while showcasing the talent and versatility of the current generation of comedians.
