Learn Deutsch Limited has inaugurated Ghana’s first Österreichisches Sprachdiplom Deutsch (OSD) examination and training centre in Bawuleshie, East Legon. The facility, led by CEO Tracey Acquah-Meyer, was officially opened during a ceremony attended by various dignitaries, marking a significant expansion of the country's educational infrastructure for foreign language acquisition. The centre is designed to provide Ghanaians with a direct path to obtaining internationally recognized German language qualifications.
The new facility will offer training and certification across all levels of the OSD framework, from A1 to C2. These qualifications are critical for students, professionals, and families who require standardized proof of language proficiency for university admissions and visa applications in German-speaking countries, including Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. By providing these services locally, Learn Deutsch Limited aims to reduce the administrative hurdles faced by Ghanaians seeking to study or work abroad.
In addition to language testing, the organisation is developing a Ghana-Germany Educational and Cultural Exchange Tour to further enhance educational opportunities and cross-cultural understanding. The centre has already established its initial testing timeline, with the first OSD examinations scheduled to take place from November 30 to December 4, 2026. This move is expected to bolster the academic prospects of local learners by providing them with the necessary credentials to compete on a global stage.
