Police in Bimbilla have apprehended 35-year-old Kaaku Kofi following the alleged fatal shooting of his wife, Naado Adyemang, in the Northern Region. The incident, which took place in Fulakuma near Chamba, occurred on the morning of October 23, 2026, after a domestic altercation escalated into violence. Authorities confirmed that the suspect was taken into custody shortly after the shooting was reported to the local police.
Reports indicate that the couple had been experiencing prolonged marital strain, characterized by frequent disagreements and ongoing domestic tension. These issues were reportedly fueled by accusations of infidelity and recurring conflicts between the victim and Kofi’s first wife. On the evening of October 22, the situation reached a breaking point when Adyemang informed her husband of her intention to end the marriage and leave their home, leading to a heated confrontation that preceded the fatal event.
The following morning, the dispute turned deadly when Adyemang was shot in the chest, sustaining a fatal wound that resulted in her death. Following his arrest, Kaaku Kofi was brought before the authorities and has since been remanded in police custody to assist with further inquiries. He is scheduled to make his next court appearance on November 9, 2026, as investigators work to finalize the case for prosecution.
