The Institute of Project Management Professionals (IPMP) Ghana has announced the development of a Project Management Village, supported by a $400,000 land acquisition and a $250,000 investment in vehicles. This initiative was unveiled during the institute's 10th anniversary celebration and its 2026 Annual Conference. The event, themed "10 Years of Impact: Shaping the Future of Project Delivery through Innovation, Leadership and Sustainability," served as a platform to outline the institute's roadmap for enhancing professional standards and infrastructure in the project management sector.
During the anniversary proceedings, leadership emphasized the necessity of integrating digital tools and ethical leadership into project delivery to meet evolving global challenges. The institute highlighted that the new Project Management Village is designed to be a hub for professional development, fostering a culture of accountability and long-term value creation. The celebration also included a formal induction ceremony for new members, signaling a commitment to expanding the pool of certified professionals dedicated to improving project outcomes across various industries in Ghana.
To ensure the successful realization of these infrastructure goals, IPMP Ghana has issued a call for support and partnerships from both public and private stakeholders. Leaders stressed that collaboration is essential to addressing systemic challenges and ensuring that project management practices remain sustainable and effective. By investing in these strategic assets, the institute aims to solidify its mission of driving excellence in project execution, ultimately contributing to the country's broader developmental objectives.
