Fashion entrepreneur and model Herty Twens has announced her return to the modelling industry following a seven-year hiatus dedicated to her family. After establishing the Gold Model Agency & School in 2011, Twens stepped away from the professional space to focus on marriage and motherhood as her family responsibilities grew. She is now set to revive her agency and reconnect with her professional passion through a major upcoming event in Accra.
Speaking to Graphic Showbiz, Twens explained that her absence was a conscious choice to prioritise her family life during a period of significant personal transition. She noted that while her business took a back seat, the season away allowed her to experience personal growth and gain a fresh perspective on both life and business. "I got to a point where I needed to step back from the business and give attention to that important season of my life," she stated, adding that her passion for what she built never truly faded during her years away.
The official return will be marked by the fifth edition of the Golden Hair & Fashion Show, scheduled for Saturday, November 21, 2026, at the Accra City Hotel. Twens described the event as more than just a fashion show, calling it a celebration of the agency's journey and a platform for its new students to showcase their acquired skills. The show is designed to integrate fashion, hairstyling, and modelling into a unified creative display that signals a new chapter for her brand.
Twens expressed optimism that this relaunch will significantly raise the profile of the Gold Model Agency & School. By providing a stage for the next generation of models, the event aims to re-establish the agency's presence in the industry. The entrepreneur remains determined to build upon the foundations she established over a decade ago, bringing her evolved perspective to the current Ghanaian fashion landscape as she resumes her career full-time.
