As the year draws to a close, Ghana's religious landscape is buzzing with significant events, including prophetic services and large-scale prayer gatherings. Prophet Nigel Gaisie, founder of the Prophetic Hill Church, is set to unveil his prophecies for 2026 during a New Year’s Eve service, which will address both global and national issues pertinent to Ghana. Meanwhile, Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah will lead the annual 'Prophetic Watch Night Service' at Glorious Word Power Ministries, also scheduled for New Year’s Eve, with livestreaming available for those unable to attend in person.
In a remarkable display of faith, thousands of Ghanaians have camped overnight at the Accra Sports Stadium for the Alpha Hour Convocation led by Pastor Agyemang Elvis. This event, which began on December 29, 2025, has attracted worshippers, known as 'Alpharians,' who set up sleeping arrangements in anticipation of a spiritually charged two-day gathering. The convocation, which features intense prayer sessions and scripture readings, aims to fill the stadium to capacity, reflecting the growing influence of the Alpha Hour ministry, which has transitioned from an online prayer platform to a major religious movement in Ghana. Pastor Elvis has expressed optimism for an even larger turnout as the event culminates on December 31, 2025, emphasizing the importance of spiritual discipline and community engagement in these gatherings.
