The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) is scheduled to hold its 2026 Land Combat Firepower Demonstration at the Battle Training Camp in Bundase on Wednesday, October 30. This annual exercise serves as a critical practical training component for students enrolled at the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC). The demonstration is designed to showcase the military’s operational readiness and the strategic integration of various land-based weapon systems within a simulated combat environment.
The exercise will feature the live firing of heavy weaponry, tactical maneuvers, and comprehensive battle drills. According to the GAF Department of Public Relations, the event provides senior military officers and staff college students with essential insights into the application of firepower during land operations. The demonstration will be witnessed by a delegation of high-ranking government officials, senior military personnel, and other invited guests from the national security apparatus.
In anticipation of the event, the military command has issued an advisory to residents living in the vicinity of Bundase. Locals are urged to remain calm and not be alarmed by the sounds of heavy gunfire and explosions that will occur throughout the exercise. The GAF has reassured the public that stringent safety measures are in place to protect both participants and the surrounding communities, and it has requested full public cooperation to ensure the successful execution of the maneuvers.
