Hollywood actor George Clooney, alongside his wife Amal and their two children, has officially been granted French citizenship, as reported in the Journal Officiel. The family has been residing in Brignoles, France, since purchasing a farm there in 2021, where they have embraced a more tranquil lifestyle away from the Hollywood spotlight. Mayor Didier Brémond highlighted that this citizenship reflects Clooney's deep affection for France and their commitment to leading a simple life in the country. Clooney has previously expressed concerns about raising his children in the Hollywood environment, favoring the balance that life in France offers. Amal, who was naturalized under her maiden name, Amal Alamuddin, is fluent in French, while Clooney humorously admitted that his own French skills are 'horrible.' This move marks a significant step for the family as they continue to integrate into their French community.
