The Gabeulah Network Foundation has presented a suite of teaching and learning materials to Frankadua D/A Junior High School in the Eastern Region to bolster digital literacy and academic performance. The donation, which includes a projector, a photocopy machine, and hundreds of reading books, is designed to address the acute shortage of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) resources that often hinders education in rural Ghanaian communities. By providing these tools, the foundation aims to facilitate a more modern and effective learning environment for both students and staff.
During the presentation ceremony, the founder of the Gabeulah Network Foundation, Reverend Gabline Awurama Beulah, reiterated the organization’s dedicated mission to improving quality education and healthcare across the country. She noted that providing schools with modern tools is essential for bridging the digital divide and ensuring that students in rural areas are not left behind in an increasingly technology-driven world. The addition of the photocopy machine and projector is expected to significantly ease the administrative and instructional burdens on the school’s faculty, allowing for better preparation of lesson materials.
Receiving the items on behalf of the institution, the Headmaster of Frankadua D/A JHS, Harrison Mompi, expressed profound gratitude to the foundation for their timely intervention. He highlighted that the equipment would transform the school's educational practices, making lessons more interactive and improving the efficiency of resource management. Prior to this donation, the lack of basic ICT infrastructure had posed a significant challenge for students attempting to meet the requirements of the national curriculum and for teachers trying to deliver practical ICT lessons.
This initiative by the Gabeulah Network Foundation aligns with broader efforts to enhance the standard of basic education in the Eastern Region through private-sector support. By focusing on practical resources like reading books alongside digital equipment, the foundation seeks to foster a comprehensive learning environment that encourages both literacy and technical proficiency. The organization has pledged to continue its support for underserved schools as part of its ongoing commitment to promoting sustainable development and equal educational opportunities in rural Ghana.
