Colgate Ghana has officially partnered with Melcom Supermarkets to launch an eight-week educational campaign that will provide GH₵240,000 in scholarships and GH₵120,000 in shopping vouchers to students and families across the country. The initiative, which began in October and is set to conclude on December 18, 2026, aims to support educational advancement while providing financial relief to consumers during the final quarter of the year.
Under the terms of the campaign, customers can nominate students for educational funding by purchasing at least two specific Colgate products at any Melcom branch nationwide. The organizers have implemented a weekly selection process to award the scholarships and vouchers. To ensure the integrity of the initiative and guarantee that the funds serve their intended purpose, Colgate Ghana will pay the scholarship amounts directly to the educational institutions where the winning students are enrolled. This approach ensures the support specifically covers tuition fees and other critical academic expenses.
This partnership underscores a shared commitment to community development between the two organizations. Colgate Ghana representatives emphasized that the campaign is part of a broader corporate social responsibility strategy focused on health and education in Ghana. By utilizing Melcom’s extensive retail footprint, the campaign is designed to be accessible to a wide range of households, helping to reduce the financial barriers many students face in pursuing their education.
