The Central East Regional Police Command has arrested three suspects, including a juvenile, in connection with the alleged murder of a 34-year-old mobile money vendor near Kasoa. The suspects, identified as 59-year-old Felicia Osei Appiah, 24-year-old Clement Opoku Yeboah, and a juvenile, were taken into custody after the body of Christian Amponsah was discovered at a local guest house. The victim was found dead after he and the juvenile suspect failed to check out of the facility at the scheduled time.
According to police reports, the discovery was made by the manager of the guest house, who grew concerned when the room remained occupied past the checkout deadline. Upon entering the room, the manager found Amponsah's body lying in a pool of blood, partially hidden under bed sheets and a pillow. The scene was immediately cordoned off by responding officers, who initiated a search for the occupants and subsequently apprehended the three suspects now in custody.
The Central East Regional Police Command is currently conducting further investigations to establish the motive behind the killing and the individual roles of the accused. The suspects remain in police detention while authorities finalize the case file. Police officials have stated that the accused will be brought before a court of law to face formal charges once the preliminary inquiry into the vendor's death is complete.
